Finvision VAT Specialists (Pty) Ltd (Finvision) is South Africa’s largest indirect tax specialists. Finvision has extensive experience in the line-by-line analysis of financial data of numerous large corporate and public entities, with a view to the identification of instances where VAT is incorrectly claimed or not accounted for as required or potential recoveries are not optimised. Finvision conducts VAT compliance and risk reviews, funded by the identification of savings or additional VAT recoveries. It focuses on the reconciliation of both input tax and output tax, thus identifying both opportunity and risk. Unique service offerings include the automation of the population and submission of VAT 201s in the banking sector as well as IT14SD for retailers.The Group has successfully integrated our legal, audit and tax expertise with sophisticated information technology, and its own proprietary methodology, enabling the analysis of vast volumes of data within an unlimited range of sectors and formats. This unique software is actively developed on an on-going basis, which provides our team with flexibility and the ability to adapt rapidly to an ever-changing environment. The Group’s technology platform, incorporating the use of state-of-the-art hardware, is complemented by the use of additional software packages that are well recognised in the auditing environment. Through our adaptive tax aligned supply chains (ATASC) methodology we assist companies to protect the increased profits and cash flows achieved through the optimisation of the supply chains from excessive income taxation. Importantly, through our ATASC approach, the tax function becomes proactively involved in the design (and redesign) of business processes that improve tax benefits as a natural result of the conduct of the business, rather than creating a tax strategy that does not fit the business model. Moreover, because ATASC is business process-based and built into the commercial model of the enterprise, it organically improves the effective tax rate and naturally scales with the business. Moreover, we understand that there is a significant saving below the line in reducing customs duties and our methodology and services therefore also address these issues and are not only focused on income tax. Through our ATASC methodology we assist companies to structure or restructure their supply chains in a tax-efficient manner that is supported by economic substance. Creating an adaptive tax-aligned supply chain involves quite a number of ancillary services, many of which are serviced by the Group itself.

Disruptivenergy B.V. and Disruptive Liquid Fuels B.V.: The Rubicon Group’s newly established energy division is tasked with the formation of a disruptive energy investment portfolio. One of the division’s focuses is on financing, owning and brokering solar projects and portable clean energy technology, which will tremendously lower CO2 emissions in the logistics industry enabling the seamless extension of the cold chain to previously inaccessible destinations. The energy division aims to incorporate cutting-edge energy storage and generation solutions into our projects, to better exploit the value of clean energy technologies and to further lower the reliance of the group’s clients on national power providers, diesel generated power and to generally improve their cold chain solutions. The group aims to invest its own capital and to raise funds to realise these goals. One of our strategic partners in this endeavour is Hanergy.

Real Estate Advisory

Ikamva Advisory Services is a BEE Level 1 company offering Real Estate Advisory services. Our diverse team is based nationally and has a combined experience in real estate, leasing, retail, tenant behaviour, compliance, rental optimisation in retail buildings, auditing and forensic investigation of more than 40 years. The team consists of CA’s (SA) and retail leasing analysts dedicated to serving Real Estate Funds and the wider industry. Our team members are more than just forensic auditors, they are specifically trained in retail income and leasing optimisation. They assist our clients in the full rental cycle, from leasing to collection.
